Lee Koch

Lee Koch is a singer/songwriter from Southern California who’s getting ready to release his first album since coming off of the NBC hit show, The Voice. Lee’s record, “Whole Heart” will be available on August 27th, 2013 and was a fan funded album. Tuned In, Turned Up spoke with Lee about his time on The Voice, the music he’s currently listening to, and his goals for the future.

How would you describe your sound?

Soulful Americana

What was the most important thing you learned from your time on The Voice?

Stay true and enjoy the ride.

Is there a venue or festival you’d like to perform at in the future?

Hardly Strictly Bluegrass

 What advice do you have for people who’d like to start a career as an artist?

Stay true and enjoy the ride.

 If you could see any band play live (dead or alive) who would it be and why?

James Brown. Song AND dance.

What do you like to do when you’re not writing or playing a show?

Love on wifey and baby. Good food and drink while immersed in nature. Family.

 Who are some bands or artists you have been listening to a lot lately?

Kalai. Paolo Nutini. Hoots and Hellmouth. The White Buffalo.

 What are your long-term goals as an artist?

Stay true and enjoy the ride.
